If you need to reinstall your mailbox or post, please note that the height of the mailbox is 36 ½” to 37 ½” from the top of the curb to the bottom of the mailbox. The post is 6” from the curb.

Unfortunately, thieves target mailboxes and our community is no exception.
Some residents have installed a lock box to deter mail theft.
Below are listed some tips to stop the theft problem:
Deposit your outgoing mail at the post office, The UPS Store, or a similar facility. Do not put outgoing mail in your street-side mailbox.
Check your box daily for inbound mail. If you are out of town, stop delivery of your mail.
To prevent the “washing” of checks, a special ballpoint pen can be purchased at an office supply store or Walmart. It is a Uniball Signo 207. It was developed by an FBI consultant specializing in check security.
If you know you have mail theft, report the incident to the Postmaster and the police. The more they hear from us concerning thefts, the more they will investigate.
Finally, many residents choose to sign up for Informed Delivery with the USPS. This free service allows you to preview your mail before it arrives. -
Each year a generous group of volunteers places red bows below each mailbox to celebrate the holiday season. If you have an issue with your bow or would not like your bow to be placed on your mailbox please contact info@southernpointehoa.com

Trash
-
Our trash is collected on Mondays. Typically, trash service runs early in the morning, and recycling is collected later in the afternoon.
Please plan to set your bins out Sunday evening and store them by Monday evening. This helps keep our neighborhood’s curb appeal and makes our neighborhood a pleasant place to walk.
Need additional trash information? Visit the City of Tulsa’s Refuse FAQ Page.
-
There will be no collection services on the following holidays:
-New Year's Day
-Thanksgiving
-Christmas DayIf the holiday falls on one of these days, the pickup schedule will shift one day for the holiday and all the following days that week to accommodate the disruption in scheduling.
For example, if a holiday falls on a Monday:
Those with Monday collection will receive service on Tuesday.
-
Our covenants state that garbage and recycling carts must be concealed from view when it’s not trash collection day.
Please plan to store your carts:
-In your garage
-In your fenced backyard
-Behind a fenced enclosure designed to conceal trash carts -
Tulsa's trash program offers several options to meet your refuse and recycling needs:
A 32, 64, or 96-gallon trash cart
Once- or twice-a-week pickup
Curbside, backyard (up to 100 feet from the curb), or extended backyard service (more than 100 feet from the curb).
Households may request a change in cart size or service at any time for a $10 fee.
To change your cart size please call 311 or email Tulsa311@cityoftulsa.org during regular business hours.
-
To dispose of trash that does not fit inside the refuse cart:
Bag and seal extra trash and apply a refuse sticker to the bag so that it is visible to the hauler.
Set bagged trash three feet from your refuse cart by 5 a.m. on your collection day.
You can put out a total of 15 bags (refuse and/or green waste) a week at the curb
Additional refuse stickers may be purchased at area QuikTrip® locations, or at City Hall, 175 E. 2nd Street, Payment Center, Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5 pm, Friday, 7:30 am - 12:00 pm.
For large items that do not fit inside of the trash cart, such as an appliance, mattress or piece of furniture, call the City of Tulsa at 311 during regular business hours or email Tulsa311@cityoftulsa.org to arrange for a bulky waste pickup.
-
If you have extra green waste (grass clippings, small sticks, leaves) that doesn't fit in your cart and can't be bundled, bag it in a transparent bag and place it at the curb. Please leave three feet of space between your green waste and other objects. You may place a total of 15 bags and/or bundles of yard waste and/or refuse at the curb per week. Yard waste outside of your refuse cart cannot exceed 40 pounds per bag or bundle.
